Did John really write the fourth Gospel?

Have you ever wondered why one disciple of Jesus was singled out in the Bible as the one whom "Jesus loved"? While this "other disciple, whom Jesus loved" had a prominent role in the life of Jesus, it seems that few stop to consider why he referred to himself this way. Some say he did this simply because he was being humble but then wouldn’t this suggest the opposite about a writer that would identify himself by name repeatedly, such as the Apostle John did in the Book of Revelation?

A book called The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved uncovers overlooked facts in scripture that can shed new light on this "other disciple" and his unique role in the life of Jesus. The beloved disciple stood openly by Jesus at the cross so what can account for his curious efforts to conceal his identity in his own gospel? The one-of-a-kind gift from God that the beloved disciple received from Jesus is the key. But the real surprise is that the answer was right there in the Bible, hidden in plain sight.

Was there death before the fall?

Most Young earth creationists claim that there was no death before the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden. The doctrine is primarily tied to two passages - Genesis 1:29-30 in the Old Testament and Romans 5:12 in the New Testament. Out of context, without the consideration of the remainder of the Bible, the verses seem to support the doctrine. Genesis 1:29-301 says that God created plants with seed and fruit and gave it to the animals for food. Romans 5:122 says that sin entered the world through Adam and death through sin.

The extent of no death before the Fall

Even among young earth creationists there are differences in opinion about what kinds of death did or did not occur before the Fall of mankind. Some say that there was no death of any creatures - plants, animals, or humans. Others say that there was no animal or human deaths prior to the Fall. This paper will show that the Bible claims that only humans did not die prior to Adam's sin.

Are we in the New Heavens and New Earth?

Written by Don Preston

Have heaven and earth passed away? Ridiculous you say? Let us ask another question: Do you believe the Old Covenant has been done away? I dare say you will say it has. Few believers in Jesus would deny he has established his New Covenant. If you believe the Old Covenant has passed away, then you must believe "heaven and earth" have passed away.
Please read the words of Jesus:"Think not that I am come to destroy the Law and the Prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Verily I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law until all be fulfilled". (Matthew 5:17-18)
This little tract will attempt to answer a few questions about these verses. First, what did Jesus say had to happen before the law could pass away? Second, does the Bible tell us when these requirements would be met? Let us answer the first question.
